FAQ's
What is emotional wellness?
Emotional wellness is the foundation of true happiness – physically, spiritually, financially and in relationships. This is because our emotions affect all aspects of our lives. When we feel sad, for example, it can affect our relationship with others and even our health. When we have true emotional wellness, we are free from emotional blockages and can achieve success in all areas of our lives without problem.
What stops us from having emotional wellness?
In a word, the one thing that stops us from true emotional wellness is ‘anchors’. You see, we all create emotional anchors through our experiences. When we experience something (e.g. something hurtful), we get a ‘feeling’ about it, work out what the experience ‘means’ to us, and we make a decision about the experience. For example, if we eat a particular food and then get sick afterwards, we get a feeling (sickness), work out the meaning (that food made me sick), and make a decision about it (if I eat that food, then I will be sick). This ‘anchor’ is stored in our memory, so that whenever we have that food again, we bring up that ‘anchor’ (even if us getting sick was just a coincidence). The same can happen with experiences that involve friends, family, or other things. These anchors are the things that block us from achieving our true potential – they ‘anchor’ us in place and prevent us from progressing.
How can we get emotional wellness?
We achieve emotional wellness by first identifying what negative anchors we have, then clearing those so that they aren’t blocking our progress, and then we create new, positive anchors that will drive us forward to achieve our goals. We do all this with the help of an emotional wellness life coach.
What is life coaching?
